Haha... oops! This has been a long time in the making, and I really mean it. I've tried to get this entry started multiple times for over a month and a half and failed every time. I'm just very tired — I finally made it to reading week in one piece, and then I got sick, and I have just been sliding since then, haha. We slidin or whatever #SlideGang

I've mostly reduced my internet presence to just Tumblr, this place and Toyhouse, and I feel a lot better for it, but I don't need to harp on that. Hey, look at this next section, which I wrote in FEBRUARY and never posted because I... was busy, but aside from that I don't actually know why I didn't just finish and post this, what the fuck. Anyway, here it is for posterity.

"What I really want to talk about is the two hockey games I went to this month, how exciting! We were technically only supposed to have one, as half-season's tickets owners, but I dipped into my own savings a little to take my dad and I to the Flames vs. Red Wings game in seats in the lower bowl, as opposed to the 200s where we usually sit. Bit of an underwhelming game (nobody seemed particularly emotionally invested, to be frank), and the excitement was a little marred by the kids decked out in both Detroit and Calgary jerseys constantly kicking the absolute everloving shit out of the back of my seat (I'm not sure they were super invested in the game, to be perfectly honest; I'd wager they were much more interested in the idea of having their parents buy them snacks and the like), but regardless, I got pretty buzzed-maybe-drunk and the comparative thrill of watching even just the opening ceremonies from right behind the Flames' goal (while I was fucked up, no less) was pretty awesome, as was the easy access to the concourse, LOL. Now, I was decently desperate to get these tickets because they were very cheap, comparative to other games versus teams with more personal rivalries... but also because — and don't tell my dad this, who certainly does not — I have a bit of a soft spot for the Wings that I can't really explain; it's a bit like my soft spot for the Maple Leafs, even though that comes from my dad."

Anyway, yeah there's that. I swear to you I will eventually write a new blog post that's actually up to date, I just wanted to NOT waste this bit of writing no matter how ultimately inconsequential or perhaps banal it is. Hmm... yeah lots of stuff has happened since this bit. Oh well! You'll learn about that when I decide to tell you :)

Oh, and in case you're curious, I have 100% lost and 100% forgotten the password to unlock the last entry, and I hope to never remember it. Don't ask me for it. That's a vent entry best left in the past, no matter how curious about it you may be. It happens!

I have news for you: sometimes, sometimes it turns out the slogan you didn’t know you were living by was: ‘live hard, live long.’ The slogan begins to stretch: ‘live hard, live long, feel pain, go on, wake up, keep going, keep going, keep going. Grow old, keep going, outlive all friends, last man alive, unending desert, so many stars, limitless, endless stars, throne standing alone in the desert, and yourself.’
