LUDIVINE

Ludivine was a world-renowned celebrity makeup artist in the version of Earth from which they hail, a standout in their field for their passion for the trade, genuine skill, and for their raunchy-but-refined personality that led them to become a sort of celebrity of their own, lending insight into and drawing humor alike from their field. They were never and still remain not a particularly intellectual type, eschewing bookishness for manual work, always better with those trades that demanded a certain level of physicality and social interaction than those that required a high level of analytical thought. Though genuinely sweet at heart, only wanting the best for others, and a firm optimist, they began to tend towards egotism as their fame grew, though they retained a sense of welcomingness and the adaptibility that was both expected and required of them by the very merits of their occupation.

Ludivine was always ostentatious, despite oft-attempts to pretend they weren't, and the power was apt to go to their head as they slowly built up a wall between their genuine self and the self their reputation demanded of them as their workload grew more and more strenuous, becoming quick to dismiss all those things that they considered beneath them and burning bridges with those relationships that they weren't "getting enough out of", the pressure of their work leaving them to see others as tools to be used rather than individuals to be connected with. They shed their goodness and appreciation of the world in search of notoriety and threw themself into their work, which soon became their only love in the world; while they retained a mask of courteousness they were never particularly friendly and only grew worse with time, coming to believee their talent was their only good or redeeming quality. Eventually, this led them to spiral, growing increasingly troubled as they watched in turn as their fame spiraled into infamy and scandals galore, and they resorted to drug use and binge-drinking to cope with the negative attention, which only sent them into a deeper spiral. Their terrible coping mechanisms only worsened and worsened until such a time as death, inevitably, rushed to meet them, a direct result of their unhealthy lifestyle - and the media blitz surrounding their fall from grace that, despite their love of spectacle, in the end only made things worse.
